Our robot 2013In the Nature's Fury year, designing the robot was very time consuming, because we wanted to get the best robot as possible. Here are some facts that make the robot as good as it is:
The robot has big wheels, which makes it drive fast, but not as precise, as if it would have small wheels. Instead of making it precise, we choose to use two light sensors to get around the field as precisely as possible. As you can see, the robot has a ball instead of a 3rd or a 4th wheel. The ball can rotate 360 degrees, and makes the robot move smooth. Our robot is an EV3 with NXT motors. The NXT motors are smaller than the new ones, and as we wanted to make it as low and small as possible, we used them instead. Also, there is a long distance between the wheels, which make the robot even more precise in the turns. In the Senior Solutions year, we sent our robot out from base three times in a round. We call it steps. Below we have some information about them. All this was made for your inspiration! Please don't be afraid to copy! |

Step 1In Step 1, the robot solved all the missions in the tree-area, all in the house-area and the plane.
We have also made a video that explains this step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHnqUz9-SbY |

Step 2In Step 2, the robot solved most of the missions in east and north.

Step 3In step 3, the robot drove over the obstacles, solved the tsunami mission, and took three loops out in the corner where the robot was ending its round.
